Network and coverage
Your eSIM roams on whichever eligible local network gives the best signal: Airtel, Jio, Vi. Some plans include 5G where the network offers it.
Why Kokio for India
Kokio asks for no ID at all: you sign in with a passkey, and we never collect your name or email.
Kokio plans connect by roaming, so there is no local SIM to register.
Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or crypto (USDC, USDT or DAI from a Kokio Wallet on Base, or other coins via MoonPay). The plan price is the same whichever way you pay, because Kokio covers the payment processing fees.
Tips for India
- Want 5G? Only the 50 GB and 100 GB India plans can use it, through Airtel. The other plans run on 4G.
- Your eSIM can use Airtel, Jio or Vi. If the signal is weak, choose another by hand in Settings → Mobile Service → your Kokio line → Network Selection.
- Unlimited plans run for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days, so a month-long trip fits one 30-day plan.
Setup
- Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi. It installs once only.
- Land at Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM).
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → choose the Kokio line for mobile data, with data roaming on.
- Not connecting? Toggle Airplane Mode, then pick a network manually.
