Network and coverage
Your eSIM roams on whichever eligible local network gives the best signal: Eplus, O2, Vodafone. Some plans include 5G where the network offers it.
Why Kokio for Germany
Kokio asks for no ID at all: you sign in with a passkey, and we never collect your name or email.
Kokio plans connect by roaming, so there is no local SIM to register.
Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or crypto (USDC, USDT or DAI from a Kokio Wallet on Base, or other coins via MoonPay). The plan price is the same whichever way you pay, because Kokio covers the payment processing fees.
Tips for Germany
- Your eSIM can use O2 or Vodafone. E-Plus is now part of O2, so your phone may show either name.
- Crossing borders by train? The Europe plans in the app cover Germany and its neighbours on one eSIM. Note that Switzerland is left out of the Europe + UK plans.
- Unlimited plans run for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days, and every Germany plan can use 5G.
Setup
- Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi. It installs once only.
- Land at Frankfurt (FRA) or Munich (MUC).
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → choose the Kokio line for mobile data, with data roaming on.
- Not connecting? Toggle Airplane Mode, then pick a network manually.
