## Buy an eSIM with crypto

Pay for a Kokio travel eSIM with USDC, USDT or DAI on Base, or from any wallet on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and five more networks through MoonPay.

Kokio checkout has two crypto options. Pay from your own Kokio Wallet in stablecoins, or from any wallet you already use through MoonPay. Either way, Kokio asks for no ID, name or email.

## Kokio Wallet: USDC, USDT or DAI on Base

The Kokio Wallet is a self-custodial smart wallet you create in the app with Face ID or your fingerprint. Setup takes a few minutes. Add USDC, USDT or DAI on Base, then pick **Kokio Wallet** at checkout and tap the token you want to pay with.

Kokio sponsors the network fee, so you pay the plan price and nothing else. If you haven't set a wallet up yet, checkout offers to do it first.

## Any other wallet, through MoonPay

Pick **Other crypto wallet** at checkout to pay from a wallet on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon or BNB Chain. MoonPay runs this payment and supports more tokens than the Kokio Wallet does. Kokio covers MoonPay's processing fee, but keep a little extra in your wallet for the network fee, paid in the same token.

MoonPay is a separate company with its own rules. Check what it asks for before you pay.

## How to pay

1. Install Kokio and create your passkey.
2. Open **Shop**, pick a destination and a plan, then tap **View**.
3. Choose **Kokio Wallet** or **Other crypto wallet** and confirm the payment.
4. Once it confirms, tap **Install eSIM**.

Plan prices don't change with the payment method. A plan bought in crypto costs the same as one bought by card, and Kokio pays the processing fees on both.

One thing to know: payments from a Kokio Wallet are onchain, and onchain records are public and permanent. Nobody can delete them, including us.

### Is there a fee for paying in crypto?
